Jenna Rose
Chief Everything Officer
Jenna Higgins Rose is the founder and “Chief Everything Officer” of Rose Media, LLC. She has led successful communications efforts for nonprofits like Clean Fuels Alliance America, the Iowa Biodiesel Board and the Soil Health Partnership. Jenna and her team played an instrumental role in taking the nonprofit SHP from virtually unknown to 1 billion media impressions by 2019.
She also served as Director of Communications for the National Biodiesel Board (now Clean Fuels Alliance America) from 2000 - 2009, during which time biodiesel awareness among consumers rose from 27 percent to 86 percent.

A highlight of her biodiesel career has been working with musicians like Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young, Willie Nelson and the band Guster, who fueled their tour buses with biodiesel and helped accelerate its rise as a well-known, viable low-carbon fuel for heavy-duty vehicles.

Jenna began her professional career as a television and print journalist, founding Mid-Missouri’s first local morning newscast on an NBC affiliate. Since then, her work has been published in publications such as The Hill, Newsweek, Forbes and USA Today, and many daily newspapers including the Des Moines Register and St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She has appeared on television shows like Motorweek and served as a regular reporting contributor to AgDay. She graduated with high honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. She lives in Columbia, Missouri with her husband and two teenage sons. When not behind her desk, she’s at the front of a group fitness studio teaching classes, a secondary passion and lifelong hobby. She is also an avid reader.
Michael Hicks
Photographer/Videographer
Michael Hicks was born in the small town of Gideon, Missouri. At one time, there were only two televisions in the entire town: one in the corner window of the department store, and the other a small, black and white Philco in the Hicks’ family home. Michael often jokes that is why he was destined to make videos.
Michael has put his storytelling gift to work to create compelling visual content for industrial and educational projects for decades.

After retiring as a University of Missouri Film and Television Producer, he freelances for Rose Media, shooting still photography and producing feature and social media videos. He strives to find a way to visually enhance each story, focusing on what the pictures say about the story as much as the story itself. His efforts have helped him win many national awards, including 22 Tellys.

His documentary work has been featured at film festivals on both coasts and earned a regional Emmy nomination. Michael lives in Columbia, Missouri, is an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and collects pre-1960s 16mm film cameras.
